The following is the scoring system I currently plan to use at the 6V6 competiton. It uses a weighting system that emphasizes midrange and clarity. You could use this system but have a different weighting system that corresponds with what you listen for in an amp. Just ensure that your total weighting adds to 10. (2 + 3 + 1 + 3 + 1).
Each amp to be rated in the following five categories with points out of 2.
0 points - less than average
1 points - average
2 points - better than average

For example, amp 1 would score
(2 *0) + (3*1) + (1*2) + (3*1) + (1*1) = 9 out of a possible 20
amp 2 would score
(2*2) + (3*2) + (1*1) + (3*2) + (1*2) = 19 out of a possible 20
